Most inground pools range from 10,000 gallons to 30,000 gallons with the most common size being about 20,000 gallons. Most chemicals have some variance for dosing of the product, so if you are unsure of how much to add, a good average is 20,000 gallons.

WATER LEVEL: The pool should be filled to the halfway point (or higher) of the skimmer. In order to provide for an adequate flow of water through the filtration system, avoid allowing the water to fall to within an inch of the bottom or covering the top of the skimmer.

POOL CIRCULATING PUMP: The pool-circulating pump represents the heart of your filtration system, and should operate 24 hours a day in order to achieve maximum circulation and chemical disbursement. The strainer pot of the pump contains a basket that should be checked daily and cleaned as needed. Refer to the step-by-step directions on this procedure that are contained in POOL MAINTENANCE section.
